Lady Wolves Update

Last night our JV Lady Wolves picked up a game out in Stillwater against the Oakland Raiders JV. We tipped off about 4:30 PM and it was quite a game. The Raiders came at us pretty strong jumping a head by 10.  Our lady wolves were struggling against this well equipped team until Rashlin Robinson dropped our first 2 after about 5 minutes of play. Our very young and inexperienced JV girls hung in there and the first half ended with us trailing by about 15 pts.

In the second half our girls came out with a fury, Andrea Bland dropping 5 pts one of which was a 3 pointer. We’ll need to watch this phenomenal 7th grader in the future.Mickey Jones was working the ball up and down the court and her rebounds kept us in the game. This girl has some real ball handling skills.Dycreeshia! ladywolvesShe was a beast on the floor last night, rebounding and steals, no-one was taking the ball from her! Her aggressive way of playing helped keep us in that ball game.Jaquasia Nailon a new comer to the team took a little coaxing to get out there on the floor. No points scored but she saved the ball more than once, nice game.

Nikeya Johnson, should be nick named the rabbit with her quickness and lookout, here’s another lady wolf with skills. We should thank Sade for helping out with her 2 pts and Jarnae Barney added flavor to the game last night. Hancia Randle substituted in and dropped a couple pts.Cassandra Klopfleish a new student this year saved our bacon grabbing rebound after rebound.

At the final buzzer the girls graciously left the game with a score of 33 to 22 losing by 10 pts. Not bad at all for their first game of the season, and the Raiders swooped their first win of the season. All in all it was a great game to watch and both teams showed a lot of class! GO JV LADY WOLVES!!!!! In addition to the highlights I’ve shared with you this morning. I would also like to send HUGE THANKYOU”S out to all the fans that showed up for the Lady Wolves Varsity game on Mon.
