Screams in the night. Students wipe sleep from their eyes and get their equipment to respond to a mock building collapse to practice their skills and get feedback by police, firefighters, and paramedics. Day and night scenarios were combined with classes, games, and speakers to boost both the skills and the confidence of high school EMS students. Classes included firefighting 101, bandaging and splinting, CPR on the run, lifts and carries, career planning, and K-9 search and rescue.
