WHO WE ARE
MTS is a free K – 12 Charter School based in Minneapolis that forges partnerships among students, businesses, communities and families to help each learner make the transition from school to work and college, and meet the responsibilities of a changing future.
MTS has been around for a long time, starting in 1997 … and through the years we’ve added new programs and schools to meet the needs of our students and the community. We have two elementary school programs (standard and ELL), a Middle School where students utilize their personal laptops as well as an online-based program for young students. Students grades 9-12 will find numerous and flexible options, from learning academies to online and alternative learning programs.

HOW WE DO IT
MTS strives for academic excellence by offering honors classes to challenge gifted students, while at the same time providing basic skills and remediation for students in need of extra guidance. Many classes feature the latest technologies and provide students with the opportunity to sample future career options. MTS philosophy is to work with each individual student, empower teachers to help students reach their goals and be ready for their future.
WHAT HAPPENS HERE
There are a variety of extracurricular activities available at MTS, including sports, an award-winning Drill Team and Drum Corp and numerous other opportunities like talent shows, community service and more.
