A long established charter school in Minneapolis, MTCS High School, put up a number of student artwork pieces for the enjoyment of students, staff, families and visitors. Teacher Dawn Segermark encourages students to take risks and continue their work, despite difficulties. “They learn how to use the tools of a graphic designer,” she said. Persistence and the ability to see something through to the end are important. “It’s really wonderful to be able to work with students in this environment. I’ve really come to love this school and my students.”
