Visit MTS & Compose Some Music Beats!

Ever wonder what it’s like to sit at one of those huge sound mixing boards and record beats, write hooks and compose songs? Stop wondering, and check out MTS’s Digital Media Academy, the biggest, coolest and most high-tech high school digital media academy in Minneapolis. You can get a real, hands-on chance to create the music you and your friends actually want to listen to. Plus, it’s free — and you’ll earn school credit, too. Come out this Saturday from 11am to 3pm at Minnesota Transitions School’s Fun Fest, in front of the Lake Street and Minnehaha Target. You’ll get to sign up for studio time next week. MTS Students complete Step-Up Program

The MTS Step-Up program wrapped up its 6-week session on Thursday, July 29. The 24 students, employed through the City of Minneapolis Step-Up program, worked at various sites within the MTS school system and had a variety of tasks and job duties. There were four separate crews of six workers (Classroom Aides, Sports Academy, Music/Video and Web/Graphic Design) within the MTS program. The .EDU Film Festival is at St. Anthony Main Theater, Minneapolis this year!

As the only school-sponsored, statewide, student film festival in the state of Minnesota, The .EDU Film Festival serves an important role in the development of young filmmakers in our state. .EDU aims to provide young filmmakers with an authentic film festival experience, a valuable understanding of the film industry, and an opportunity to screen their movies on “the big screen.”
