Whether you were a Patriots or a Eagles fan for Sunday’s Super Bowl (or not a football fan at all!), many people agree, the Halftime show is a favorite part of the event.
This year’s Halftime show featured two MTS Elementary staff members: Courtney and Corey. We are so proud of their energy, commitment and talent (at school and away) that we want to share the news! Both have won multiple choreography awards for dance routines they created. And Courtney and Corey are committed to and enthusiastic about the students and have been on the MTS Elementary team since last spring.
Courtney works with 4th grade students at MTS Elementary. Courtney is a graduate of Burnsville HS and North Central University – BS Psychology. She is a dance teacher and choreographer for children ages 2-18 at Turning Pointe Dance Studio. Courtney also coaches the Lakeville South High School Dance Line.
Corey works with 6th grade students at MTS Elementary. Corey is a graduate of Mainstreet School for Performing Arts (a MN charter school now known as the Performing Institute of Minnesota Arts High School); he toured Washington DC this fall with Shapeshift Mpls: http://www.shapeshiftmpls.com/. He is a dance teacher and choreographer for children ages 2-18 at Turning Pointe Dance Studio.
Courtney and Corey both performed at the live event and had a great experience. You can see Corey in the youtube video :
(at about 12:03 – 12:05).
