TREETRUST and MTS

“Last week we were siding a house, putting shingles on the roof and we even built a back porch! It was cool.” ~MTS student and current TreeTrust participant

MTS is partnering with TreeTrust and creating a way for young adults to build and rehab houses for low-income families in Minneapolis while they pursue high school diplomas or GEDs. Youth receive valuable hands-on training and learn the technical skills necessary for a career in construction and low-income families get the help they need at home.

This is how it works at MTS: There are one week rotations, students building in the community for a week, then school learning, and so on. It’s a great way to earn credit for school and learn good skills.

Along with developing amazing job skills, students also learn important life skills like: leadership, teamwork and work ethic – to take into any profession.

Give us a call and we’ll tell you about all the options for you 612-724-4754.
