The Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is a partnership between MTCS parents and guardians of students receiving special education services, community partners, and MTCS special education. The purpose of this council is to advise the MTCS special education administration on current issues, program development, and parent involvement; to empower and support parents to effectively advocate for children; and, to promote communication among family, school and community partners. Our goal is to collaborate with representatives from all areas of disability and various ages.
MTCS Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) aims for parent members from every MTCS school. Join us to learn about district policies and special education programming first hand! SEAC meets annually in accordance with the MTCS Annual Meeting at MTCS Offices, 2872 26th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN. If you would like more information about SEAC contact Kelly Dietrich at firstname.lastname@example.org or 612-235-5932.
