After working with Teach for America for two years, Mr. Sengupta was recently awarded a trip to an all-expense paid conference in New York from Leadership for Educational Equity, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, leadership development organization.<\/p>\n
The AAPI (Asian American & Pacific Islander) Diversity in Public Leadership Summit was a two-day, national leadership opportunity for educators. Founded to support AAPI educators in dismantling systems of inequity and oppression, participants examined power and privilege through a lens of diverse teachers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis seminar was a perfect fit for me,\u201d expressed Mr. Sengupta. \u201cIt allowed me to really develop my skills in teaching as well as learn more about school systems, and the role I play in them. My identity as an Asian American, and having the opportunity to network with other Asian American leaders and educators, enhanced the whole experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Sengupta is an enthusiastic and committed teacher and the MTCS community is happy to have him on board.<\/p>\n
