Our fall title night was a fabulous precursor to the weather we received over the past few days. Transforming the school into a winter wonderland prepared me for the realities of a Minnesota winter. I hope you were able to pick up a few ideas for activities to use in your homes over winter break.<\/p>\n
One of the great things about living in a place like Minnesota is the opportunity to experience the four seasons. There are not many places in the world that you can enjoy lakes, trails and 90 degree weather in the summer and ski and build snowmen in the winter. As Minnesotans we embrace the seasons and learn to enjoy aspects of each of them. We are excited at Banaadir Academy to provide your children a safe environment to be active and enjoy the seasons of Minnesota on our playground.<\/p>\n
To ensure your student has a safe and enjoyable winter experience on the playground it is important that they come to school with boots, hats, mittens, snow pants, and a warm jacket. All students in kindergarten through fifth grade will spend a daily 15 minute recess period on the playground. The only exceptions are if the air temperature drops below 5 degrees. Please be sure your students are prepared for the weather.<\/p>\n
