Meeting March 2, 2022 4-5pm

  1. Discussion of general finance 101, how much money we have, the budget process for making decisions and the implications of that. Generally getting everyone familiar with finances at MTCS.
  2. Discussion of salary adjustments for MNVS that the school and Finance have been working on.
  3. Conversation with reps from schools about their thoughts and needs about compensation at their individual sites.

April 6, 2022 4-5pm (The second of three compensation meetings.)

  1. Discussed proposed salary adjustments. Conversation about the investment in the team and staff retention.

May 4, 2022 (The third of three compensation meetings.)

Open forum conversation to discuss ideas to push forward next year’s committee and ideas anyone has.

MTS Elementary

  • Highlight small class sizes, unique supports
  • Show teachers in action and highlight activities

MTS Secondary

  • Feature the beautiful new building in the community and all the opportunities
  • Show teachers and students learning on laptops
  • Highlight music and arts and extracurriculars

MNVS

  • Differentiate online school from distance learning, flexible schedules, chromebooks
  • Increase Facebook ads and Instagram

Safety

  • Highlight restorative practices and safety and security
  • Confirm all district safety plans

Communications

  • Continue to explore Remind and look into Calendly

April 19, 2022

  1. Plan. Visits and photographs for all schools to show what’s happening in the programs.
  2. Talked about communications and interesting ways to reach current students and families.
  3. What kinds of marketing materials are needed for the summer events and next year?

Minnesota Transitions Charter School is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization whose core purpose is to empower each student and ensure that all students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to experience success in their future. The MTCS Board of Directors is composed of community members and licensed teachers who meet monthly.
