Dear MTCS families,<\/p>\n

We wanted to reach out to keep you informed with correct information. First of all, we know you are worried about everything that is going on in the world. The most important way that you can help is to stay home whenever possible. Do not go out unless it is for groceries, medical care, or something else that can not be avoided. If you can delay going out then please do. As of today, March 23, 2020, there are 66 new cases, bringing the total number in Minnesota to 235. Likely this is far less than the actual number due to the lack of tests available to confirm cases.<\/p>\n

Another important thing that we all need to better about is washing our hands, that includes scrubbing and lathering soap for at least 20 seconds. This is a long time to wash hands, and young children will need support to do this correctly, but it is that important.<\/p>\n

If you become ill with a fever 103-104 degrees (or near these high temperatures), cough, or trouble breathing then call your primary care clinic to discuss it with a nurse or provider to get further instructions on how to proceed. Do not walk into a clinic if you think you are sick with COVID-19, or this will likely spread to other people at the clinic, and further the pandemic. If you think you are sick, but it is not an emergency, then call your clinic. If it is an emergency and someone is struggling to breathe call 911, but inform the dispatcher that you think you have COVID-19.<\/p>\n
