MTS Elementary took time to honor children on Every Child Matters Day<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0Originally started in Canada to recognize the injustices against the First Nations communities, this day acknowledges past harm with an emphasis on all people coming together and fostering a community of growth, kindness and equity.<\/p>\n

Many students wore orange to school to symbolize the MTS community coming together in kindness.\u00a0\u00a0The students had a chance to participate in numerous activities to build community and grow empathy and compassion.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
