MTS students spend a couple periods at Roosevelt learning and practicing welding skills. They\u2019ve done many small practice projects\u2014welding metal pieces together\u2014and students got to make their own toolboxes. They brought the beautiful shiny silver boxes home today. They look very professional. \u201cThe only hard part was putting the side on,\u201d said one of the students.<\/p>\n<p>Knowing how to weld opens up exciting career options. MTS offers students many kinds of experiences to explore, try and learn what kinds of things they like doing and might want to think about as future careers, along with preparing them for college.<\/p>\n<p>These Trade Skills Academy students are learning so much.
