{"id":13891,"date":"2020-12-18T12:57:34","date_gmt":"2020-12-18T17:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/5badbfa87a.nxcli.io\/mts-secondary\/?p=13891"},"modified":"2020-12-18T12:57:34","modified_gmt":"2020-12-18T17:57:34","slug":"december-18-2020-news-for-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mtcs.org\/mts-secondary\/december-18-2020-news-for-families\/","title":{"rendered":"December 18, 2020 News For Families"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dear MTCS Families,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Following the Governor\u2019s December 16th, 2020 announcement on the importance of elementary school-aged children returning to school, MTCS will continue to monitor the case number risk provided by county data, and plan to safely bring students back to school as soon as possible but no sooner than January 18th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here\u2019s what you can expect from MTCS:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your school staff will communicate with you directly about your child\u2019s school plan no later than January 8th with specific information and updates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For Elementary grades K-6, we are prioritizing plans for in-person learning as we monitor data and consider all variables impacting the safety and well-being of students, families and staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For Middle and High school students, we are prioritizing plans for various models such as tutoring, a hybrid-model, and all in-person as\/if possible.\u00a0 All school programs will monitor data and consider variables impacting the safety and well-being of students, families and staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That safety and health of students, families and staff remain priorities at all times.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we plan to safely return students to school.\u00a0 We look forward to getting through COVID-19 together and bringing our communities back once again.
