An essential history of chemistry and science is presented in order to put the science in perspective and for the student to see how the structure of matter and the atom was developed, and led to the modern view of atomic structure. We return to the periodic table on a regular basis to show the relationship between the elements, and to provide for a way to predict the chemical reactions that cause the vast number of compounds to form in the universe. You will learn of the groups of chemical reactions that we use to categorize reactions, as well as the skills involved in balancing chemical equations.
