What is your favorite hobby?
I love to go running.
If you were a super hero, what power would you want to have and why?
I would want to fly so I can travel anywhere. If you could fly, what would you do? I would fly to South America.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I played saxophone in my college marching band. I performed at every Wisconsin football game from 2002 to 2006.
Did you always want to be a teacher? What did you want to be instead?
I wanted to be an artist, a cartoonist and a writer.
Would you like to be a cheerleader?
No! I love being a teacher at Banaadir!

What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobbies are playing and watching basketball and going to the beach.
If you were a super hero, what power would you want to have and why?
I would want the power to fly because I could go anywhere I wanted and I could go somewhere where there was warm weather.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I don’t really have any secret talents but an interesting fact is that my brother lives in Hawaii and I love Hawaii. It is my favorite place and I have been there 5 times.
Did you always want to be a teacher? If not what did you want to be instead?
Yes I always wanted to be a teacher!
Do you like teaching?
Yes I love teaching, Especially at Banaadir!
Why did you become a teacher?
I love learning and want other people to love learning! I like to see kids learning new things and I like working with kids. It is also a fun job to come to everyday and it is always different.

What is your favorite color?
Turquoise polka-dot with a burnt orange background is my favorite color.
If you had a super power, what would it be?
The power of invisibility would be my choice of super powers, but lately I’ve been thinking that I would like even better the chance to actually become Batman. So I guess my favorite and my best super power choice would be morphing into Invisible Batman.
Where do you live?
I live in north Minneapolis.
What is your dream house like?
My dream house is a tree house overlooking the ocean, most definitely, absolutely, and without question.
What are your hobbies?
I like to make quilts, investigate in the woods, experiment with foreign foods, and search the neighborhood for trampolines to jump on. Just kidding. My nieces have a trampoline that I can use whenever I choose.
How long have you been at Banaadir?
This is my sixth year at Banaadir.
Who is your favorite student?
I care about all my students—truth. I might like them for different reasons… I might think one is the funniest, another is the kindest, another is the best critical thinker, and another is outstandingly creative, but there is genuinely something I like about each of my students, and therefore they are each my favorite in some aspect.
