MTCS Accessibility Statement

Minnesota Transitions Charter School strives to ensure that its digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. Minnesota Transitions Charter School has invested significant resources to help ensure access for all users, including people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Digital accessibility is not just a target we aim to achieve, but an ongoing commitment that we carry in every aspect of our digital service delivery. We recognize that this requires continuous monitoring, improvement, and adaptation. In the sections below, we elaborate on the various efforts that have been undertaken to address our progress in ensuring digital accessibility for all.

Minnesota Transitions Charter School is actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is an ongoing effort that includes regular accessibility audits of our website, PDFs, and digital content, with remediation prioritized for the pages and documents most used by our families and students.

Minnesota Transitions Charter School makes available the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget, which offers optional visual adjustments such as font size, contrast, and animation controls that some visitors may find helpful. This widget is a supplementary tool and does not by itself constitute full WCAG conformance.

We continue to remediate accessibility issues directly within our website code, including improvements to keyboard navigation, focus indicators, image alt text, and form labeling.
