February has been a busy month for the Board of Directors. In February we officially began both our Strategic Planning process with MSBA and the Superintendent/Executive Director Search. Both of these projects require volunteers of both MTCS staff, students, administrators and community members. For those who have volunteered, thank you so much for taking time to help shape the future of MTCS.
The Strategic Planning Process so far has consisted of information gathering through listening sessions and a stakeholder survey as well as the committee’s first meeting on February 17th. Where we heard a State of the District presentation from our Co-Superintendents and reviewed the data that was collected at the beginning of this process. We received a good number of responses from the surveys and received helpful feedback from all of our listening sessions. Our next meetings will take place in March and should conclude in early April.
The Board has created a search committee to manage the process of hiring our new permanent Superintendent/Executive Director. This committee will be responsible for gathering and organizing stakeholder feedback for the Board of Directors. There is currently a survey that is available for all stakeholders to complete regarding your thoughts about our next leader. Please take the time to complete that short survey and look out for information regarding community listening sessions during the first week of March.
