The high school has a Quiz Bowl team! We will be competing @ Providence Academy in Plymouth as part of the “North Division”. The team is made up of 11th grader Dashaun Foster, and 10th graders Maria Herrera, Jaquarius Norwood, and Diego Carreno.
Quiz Bowl is a trivia/knowledge “sport”/competition that features two teams, usually of 4 students, pitted against each other. The “sport” is played somewhat like Jeopardy! in that teams are asked a question, each competitor has a “buzzer” and the first competitor to “buzz in” has a chance to correctly answer the question, without the help of their team.
Mr. Jorgensen is the advisor/coach for MTS HS Quiz Bowl team, our first set of matches are scheduled for November 17th.
