In just a couple hours last Saturday, MTS High School students raised more than $230 dollars to pay for an upcoming field trip to the Penumbra Theater. Students and staff bagged groceries for customers at the CUB Food store near the school at Lake and Minnehaha Avenues. They will also be back at CUB this coming Saturday, January 31, from from 11am-3pm. Come and say hello, and if you can’t make it, they will also be working again on February 7, 14 and 21.
Along with raising money for field trips and other school needs, this kind of community fundraising is a great chance for students to connect with the community, communicate pride in their school—and build confidence. Way to go MTS High School students!
