An opportunity for two teachers to be part of the MTCS Board of Directors
Election results were announced at the recent MTCS Annual Meeting on October 28, 202. Since that time, one of the winning candidates resigned from the board, and another was ineligible to continue which has opened two seats on the Board for teachers. The positions must be filled by teachers in order to keep a teacher majority board, which is a Minnesota requirement.
The Board will place two new teachers, but is asking for teachers interested in serving on the Board of Directors to fill out the application and send it to the Board Chair, Tyler Frankhouse, at tfrankhouse@emailmtcs.org and Coya Night Pipe at cnightpipe@emailmtcs.org to be considered, by Tuesday, December 14 at 5pm. If you do nominate yourself to join the Board, you are asked to be present at the December 16 meeting at 4:45pm and be prepared to join the meeting. It is a real opportunity for you to help guide MTCS, and make a real difference in the lives of students and families with the decisions it makes. Does this sound like something you would like to do?
What to expect as a member of the board?
The Board meets typically meets monthly, on the fourth Thursday of each month (sometimes changing for holidays and other events). There are additional trainings and other meetings as needed to meet the needs of the organization.
