Minnesota Transitions Charter School is celebrating twenty five years of individually supporting thousands of students on their way to college, careers and a meaningful life from kindergarten all the way through to graduation from high school.
When students get what they uniquely need, they can be successful in school and that prepares them for the transition from school to college, careers, and life.
Each student needs a unique set of tools and resources to succeed in school. One of the things we do exceptionally well at MTCS is offer all kinds of personalized options to students and families so school works the way they need it to.

Twenty-five years ago, MTCS began as a partnership with students, families and the community to create a school with their needs in mind. This led to the creation of eight unique programs, each with small learning environments as a philosophy and an unusually strong amount of individualization and personal support.
Every MTCS school was created to meet a unique set of student needs.
School needs to come in many shapes and forms, just like students, in order to be what students need to reach their goals.
Our programs meet specific general learning needs and focus, like: online learning, Somali culture focus, career pathways, flexibility in education, leadership development and character building, arts, recovery and more.
Then we work with each student to create individual and responsive supports and resources, so students can go exactly where they want to go, with staff dedicated to working individually with each student to help them reach those goals.
We work with you to create your very own education program. Just how you need it.
Whether it’s our online program or one of our in-person schools, MTCS is going to feel a lot like a family.
