I am what I am. I am 16 years old. I go to MTS high school. My name is Helen Rivera. I am Mexican, and a junior in high school. I like eating Chinese food, and really spicy stuff. I love dancing and clubbing.

I am what I am. I work at Isa Tattoo on Lake street. I am a cashier. I look up to people who work hard and strive for a better life. I like making money, and buying things. I like cosmetology and doing my nails. My parents are from Guadalajara, Mexico. I was born here, in St. Paul MN. I am what I am. I want to graduate high school and go to college. I want to live on my own, and have my own car. I like watching “Law and Order: SVU”.

I am what I am. I am an Aztec dancer. I also like to get good grades. I have been on probation for 1 year and 6 months. I have been in about 7 placements in the past year. The longest placement that I was at was “Steps of Success”, a group home in Grand Rapids, MN. I was there for 6 months. It was probably one of my hardest times. I was let free the day before Thanksgiving, 2014. I was really happy to be home for the holidays. I have all my s**t together, and I want to graduate on time.

I am what I am. I believe that people who don’t feel sorry for themselves and get through their stuff are some of the bravest and hard working people. People that go through a lot and still overcome many problems are very powerful. Those are the people who will be very successful in life. I have 1 little brother and he is 2 years old. I live with my mom. I am the only girl and I am the oldest.

I am what I am and no one can change me.
