The MTS Wolves boys basketball team recently had an incredible 8-0 winning streak. Until they faced Henry in an away game and lost. The wolves record is an amazing 18 wins and only losses 5 this year. That’s a great record for a 1A school basketball team!
The Wolves lost their very first game to Pine Island by 6 points because of missed free throws and fouls. After that game the team worked even harder in practice because it hurts to lose your first game of the season, especially if you thought you were going to win. In practice the boys ran more so they could have the stamina to work hard in the games. They also went over plays so every player would know what they were doing on the court. The wanted to be perfect for next games.
On November 29, 2014 the Wolves played Columbia Heights, a team they were not suppose to beat. But hard work and dedication and teamwork can make a miracle happen. The Wolves won by 3 points! It was an amazing game for the wolves and the people watching.
