Two Banaadir 5th grade classes collaborated and invited special guests as they shared their presentations All About Me. This was in part practice for an upcoming presentation project, and also a way for students to share some interesting and important things about their lives.

Students shared favorite colors, foods, movies, pets they dream of having or own (a lot of cats are desired!), favorite subjects, candy and who was part of their family.

They also got to some deeper questions like who you want to be when you grow up and why, and what is something interesting about you, and then the very big question: how would you make the world a better place?

Students creativity and hope for the world became evident. Each student shined in their own way as they shared their interests, ideas and dreams.

Banaadir Academy, and all the MTCS schools, are celebrated for their deep commitment to not just learning, but to knowing and meeting each student exactly where they are and offering the right tools and support at just the right time so students learn, thrive and succeed in school and life—in their own unique way.

Here are a few 5th grade dreams:

“One way I can help the world is to stand up to bullies because bullies can make people hurt themselves, and if you stand up to them this can stop.”

“I want to be a doctor because I love helping people.”

“I want to stop racism.”

How would you make the world a better place? Mohamed shared, “By becoming a better person.”

That’s what is happening at Banaadir Academy—students and staff—becoming better people together.

Thank you for sharing 5th Grade Classes!
