Our district’s Social Studies Curriculum Review Team has been carefully reviewing three potential curriculum options for our middle and high school programs. The team has now identified two finalists, and we are seeking feedback from parents and community members before making a final recommendation.

Parents are invited to review the curriculum materials in one of two ways:

  • In Person Viewing Opportunities: You are welcome to review the textbooks and instructional resources and leave feedback at the following times and locations:
    • District Office: 2872 26th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55406 (Door C)
      • January 5th–16th, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
    • Banaadir Academy: 1201 N Bryant Ave, Mpls, MN 55411 Wed January 7, 5:00pm-7:00 p.m.
    • MTS Secondary 2872 26th Ave S, Mpls, MN 55406 Thurs January 8, 5:00p.m.- 7:00pm
  • Online: Access digital materials through the links below and provide feedback through a google form found here.

Thank you for taking the time to review the curriculum choices. Your feedback is important to us as we work to ensure our instructional resources are clear, engaging, and supportive of all students. Your perspective as a parent and partner in your child’s learning helps guide our decisions and strengthens our school community

If you have any questions, please contact Kelsey Bennett, Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Kbennett@emailmtcs.org
