Distance Learning Day 1

Tu me manques parce que tu m’aides au travail. J’aime quand je rentre à la maison, tout le monde le fait. A bientôt quand la pause sera finie.”

This was the student comment that greeted French teacher, Mr. Mottey, first thing this morning when he ‘went to his classroom’ from home.  Mr. Mottey posted the day’s homework assignment last night, and one ready student had already replied.

Translation: “I miss you because you help me at school. I am happy at home.  I will see you when everything is over.”

This early morning greeting from one student to a teacher, meant the world to Mr. Mottey, and confirmed that there may indeed be some positive things to come out of the new Distance Learning process. “I am really excited!” said Mr. Mottey who has all kinds of plans for engaging students this next month.

New opportunities to connect and appreciate one another are just a couple of ways this period may find students and teachers growing in new ways.
