Growing, happy students at Banaadir Academy will soon have a regulation sized indoor basketball court for great games but also a valuable community gathering space. Complete with bleachers, restrooms close by and its own front door, the addition adds 14,725 square feet boosting the school’s size by 28 percent. The gym will be ready in December for Banaadir students to use for physical education classes. The playground area will move to the building’s front for recess.
“We are excited about the opportunities the new gym creates for our students and their learning,” said Shawn Fondow, director of Banaadir Academy.
