Welcome back from what was hopefully a safe, relaxing, and refreshing spring break.  As we continue to push forward with bringing students back to MTCS seat based programs, we know that many impactful challenges continue to exist.  With the Chauvin trial taking place we also know that many are significantly impacted as the trauma is experienced once again.

Understandably, MTCS students, staff and families continue to feel the gravity of all that is taking place.  Please find MDE resources linked on our website.  Also, please stay connected with us and your community—reach out to an MTCS staff member, social worker, friend, family member, or colleague. Together we are stronger.

Thank you for continuing to shift, adapt, adjust and then some as we continue to navigate our world one day at a time.  Because there are so many variables impacting any one individual, we all benefit by being mindful of individual needs and experiences.  Treating students as well as one another with kindness, care, and compassion will only aid in overcoming the many challenges presented.

You are valued here at MTCS, your voice is important, and you matter.

Through the rest of the school year and well into the future we are committed to delivering quality, equitable education and meeting the individual needs of each and every student.  Expect success.  We are committed to yours.

Brian Erlandson, Superintendent
