Section 504 Process for Students
Minnesota Transitions Charter Schools recognizes the importance of ensuring that all students are provided with a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Section 504 is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against persons with disabilties. It is the district’s focus to provide an equitable opportunity for all students to engage in their education and experience a successful learning experience.
MTCS schools each have a building 504 Coordinator assigned to support students. For more information regarding Section 504, requesting a Section 504 Evaluation, or any questions related to Section 504, please contact the building 504 Coordinator at your child’s school.
Each MTCS program also has a Building 504 Coordinator. For more information about the resources available for your student, or to request a Section 504 evaluation, contact your school’s 504 coordinator.
