MTS Elementary and MTS Secondary students visited the DIVAS Makerspace in the Coliseum Building to help imagine the future Democracy Center planned for the former Third Precinct site.
Guided by the DIVAS team — a nonprofit whose mission is to equip youth with skills in emerging technology, community visioning, and hands-on building — students explored their hopes for the neighborhood and watched their ideas come alive on a high-tech laser cutter. Their bold, thoughtful creations will be showcased in the Democracy Center when it opens, highlighting the power of young voices in shaping our community’s next chapter.
