Esports Middle School Team at the Playoffs!
Minnesota Virtual Schools Esports has a brand new middle school team who just enjoyed their first playoff experience! It was a team of three playing Rocket League.
The middle school students started in September with pre-season games, and learning to problem solve and get communications to work with their different systems. After that, the team began weekly practice and matches.
At first this team was a bit quiet and somewhat shy. But as the season has gone on, their team communications became much stronger leading to more success within the game. For a first year middle school team to get as far as they did in the season and making it all the way to the playoffs is no small feat. Coach Nelson, MNVS staff and the rest of the team are very proud of how well the team performed this season, and especially how well they worked together as a group. For some of our students this is the first opportunity they may have had to be involved with school sports.
