The two campuses of Banaadir K-12 are off to a great start this school year! Students are engaged and learning and new friendships are being developed. It’s going to be a wonderful year.
Minnesota Department of Education Assistant Commissioner, Dr. Macarre Traynham visited Banaadir Elementary K-5 the first week of school. Her engagement with our students was remarkable—making them feel seen and valued. She visited each classroom and talked with students about what they were learning. In one fun classroom the class was solving a mystery, complete with one of them being the detective and one being the criminal, the rest suspects.
Following the tour through the building, Dr.Traynham met with MTCS leadership where we shared challenges and opportunities in our schools and education generally.
What a strong beginning for the 24/25 school year.
