MTS Elementary Fifth graders participated in the special Heart of the Dance program again this year—learning ballroom dances that culminated in a special performance in the MTS gym. The rest of the school, parents and visitors had the delight of being entertained by the Fifth graders who have been practicing and working together for many weeks.
Ballroom dance isn’t just about learning the Foxtrot, Rumba, Waltz or Tango, though learn those dances they certainly did. This program teaches students much about teamwork, respect, elegance and kindness—and it also appeared to be kind of fun!
