Dear MTCS Families,

Following the Governor’s December 16th, 2020 announcement on the importance of elementary school-aged children returning to school, MTCS will continue to monitor the case number risk provided by county data, and plan to safely bring students back to school as soon as possible but no sooner than January 18th.

Here’s what you can expect from MTCS:

  • Your school staff will communicate with you directly about your child’s school plan no later than January 8th with specific information and updates.
  • For Elementary grades K-6, we are prioritizing plans for in-person learning as we monitor data and consider all variables impacting the safety and well-being of students, families and staff.
  • For Middle and High school students, we are prioritizing plans for various models such as tutoring, a hybrid-model, and all in-person as/if possible.  All school programs will monitor data and consider variables impacting the safety and well-being of students, families and staff.
  • That safety and health of students, families and staff remain priorities at all times.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we plan to safely return students to school.  We look forward to getting through COVID-19 together and bringing our communities back once again. Please continue to take care, stay safe and feel free to reach out to your school with any questions or concerns.  MTCS is here for you.

Sincerely,

Brian Erlandson
Superintendent, MTCS
