MTS Elementary took time to honor children on Every Child Matters Day. Originally started in Canada to recognize the injustices against the First Nations communities, this day acknowledges past harm with an emphasis on all people coming together and fostering a community of growth, kindness and equity.
Many students wore orange to school to symbolize the MTS community coming together in kindness. The students had a chance to participate in numerous activities to build community and grow empathy and compassion.
