Sierra attended P.E.A.S.E. Academy from 2009 until her graduation in 2011. The unending support, compassion and dedication of P.E.A.S.E.’s staff and students is something she is still grateful for to this day. She continues to be close friends with many of her former classmates at P.E.A.S.E. (she currently lives above 2 of them!) After graduating high school, she decided to trade snow-shoveling for perpetual summer and made the move to the Sunshine State in 2014.
Once in Florida, she completed college at Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Political Science, earning the distinction of Summa Cum Laude. During college, she interned and worked for Congressman Dean Phillips (MN-3) and Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21). After graduation, she worked on a competitive congressional race in Florida’s 18th District before moving back to Minnesota this past summer.
Most recently, she worked on Joe Biden’s presidential campaign as a member of the finance team, which she says was one of the most exciting times in her life. She is looking forward to continuing her career in politics, focusing on progressive policies and organizations that place marginalized and underserved communities at the center of their mission.
