Dear MTCS Scholars and Families,
We hope this finds you healthy, joyful and rested. As you may have heard by now Shawn and I will be serving as co-principals of MTS Secondary and working together as the executive directors of MTCS for the upcoming school year. As we prepare for the school year ahead, Shawn and I wanted to connect with you all, introduce ourselves for those who are new to MTCS and share how excited we are to welcome you (back) to the 2021-2022 school year. As a member of our MTCS community, we hope we will feel like your second family and that our educators will become meaningful partners in helping you thrive.
As Shawn and I share the roles of leading our district, we prioritize deepening our relationships with all members of our community. Over the course of the year, we will develop scholar and family groups who will provide key insight on how we co-create your learning experience. We want to know what matters to you and to your families in order to craft learning that integrates what is collectively important.
At MTCS, you matter, you belong to a community that sees the beauty and vibrance in difference. We listen to understand, we meet you where you are at and tailor your education to meet your specific needs. We believe that human beings are holistic and interconnected. We are here to support you dreaming big and we will walk alongside you on your journey with us. Whether you are just beginning school as a kindergartner or gearing up to accept your diploma as you step into your young adult lives, we are here for you.
