Minnesota Virtual Schools staff and families participate in NAMI walk

On September 28th, faculty members from MNVS joined students and family members to participate in a 5k walk through the Minnehaha Falls area of south Minneapolis. This was was supporting NAMI- the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the largest grassroots mental health organization in the nation. At MNVS we support the efforts of NAMI and other organizations that seek to work with children and adults who struggle with mental health issues and see better lives while being affected by mental illness.

Our faculty and families were blessed by a beautiful fall day of fun, fellowship and a sense of community that we like to encourage all of our stakeholders to participate in. If you were one of our students who joined us, it was wonderful to join you on raising awareness for this great cause by participating in the 5K, and if you weren’t able to join us but would like to know more about our school, our faculty, and other events where we host or join our families in the community please contact our office for more information.
